Before shipping to a business, be wary of it's operating hours to ensure it is able to receive shipments, notify the recipient at the delivery address, and provide your tracking details to the recipient. Additionally, please keep in mind that deliveries can occur on or before the delivery-by date on your order.
Delivery Attempts: If a delivery attempt is made to a business location outside of normal business hours, the carrier will reattempt delivery on the next business day. Both FedEx and UPS generally make up to three delivery attempts before returning the shipment to the sender. To avoid delays or additional fees, it’s essential to ensure that someone is available to accept the delivery during the business's regular operating hours.
Notify the recipient: If you’re shipping to a business that is not your own, it’s important to first contact the intended recipient location to confirm that they can accept shipments on your behalf. Some businesses may have policies restricting personal or third-party deliveries or may require prior authorization to receive and hold items for non-affiliated individuals. Verifying this in advance helps prevent complications such as rejected shipments or unnecessary delays.
Provide tracking details: Consider providing the recipient business with the tracking details and expected delivery timeframe. This ensures they are aware of the incoming shipment and can make any necessary arrangements for its acceptance.
Delivery timing: Your shipment will deliver to a business by end of day on or before the delivery-by date on your order. We recommend scheduling your shipment to arrive at least one business day prior to when it is needed. Please keep that in mind when contacting the business to alert them of your incoming shipment. Deliveries can occur every day of the week, except on holidays.
