Dropping off your shipment at a local carrier store is a free alternative to scheduling a pickup. Here's what to keep in mind:
Choose a Location: drop your shipment off at a carrier store that matches the carrier on your labels — this is crucial to avoid any delays or issues with your shipment being processed. Use our store locator to find a location.
Shipping Labels: bring your labels with you to the drop-off location. If you're unable to print your labels ahead of time, most stores offer label printing for a small fee — it's best to call ahead and confirm.
Cut-off Time: every carrier store has a daily cut-off time — the time of day when the carrier collects that day's packages from the store. Shipments dropped off before the cut-off begin transit the same day; shipments dropped off after it begin transit the next business day. Cut-off times vary by store and by service type (Ground vs. Express), so check with your drop-off location. If you're dropping off on your scheduled ship date, make sure to arrive before the cut-off so your shipment goes out on time.
Dropping Off Early: you're welcome to drop your shipment off before its scheduled ship date — no label change is needed. Just keep in mind that your shipment may begin transit as soon as the carrier collects it, which means it may also deliver earlier than your scheduled delivery-by date. If you'd like your delivery to stay as close to your planned dates as possible, we recommend dropping off on your scheduled ship date.
Weekend Drop-offs: you can drop off shipments on weekends if the carrier store is open, but your package won't begin transit until the next business day. If you plan on dropping off on a weekend, we recommend booking your ship date as Monday to reflect when your shipment will go into transit.
Shipping Supplies: most drop-off locations have shipping supplies, such as boxes and packing materials, available for an additional fee. Supply pricing is set by the store and isn't included in Ship Sticks' fees.
