When tracking your international shipment, there are several scans you may see that informs us of the status of your shipment. We have included key international shipment scans below to help you understand how to interpret them. Our team actively monitors all international shipments and stays informed of any updates that require our attention.
Shipment on hold: Most commonly, this means that your shipment is waiting for the next available flight. It may either be waiting for the very next flight or to be consolidated with other shipments into a container before being loaded onto a flight. Either way, this scan is quite common when shipping internationally. If this scan means anything other than waiting for a flight, you will be contacted by our international specialists.
Customs clearance status updated: This scan typically appears before the shipment leaves the origin country. It does not mean the shipment is in or has cleared customs. Rather, it indicates that customs is aware of the shipment and is awaiting its arrival for inspection.
Processed for clearance: This scan means your shipment’s documentation has been submitted to customs and is awaiting review. This is an early step in the clearance process, where customs determines whether the shipment complies with import regulations.
Clearance Event: This scan typically means your shipment has reached a milestone in the clearance process. This could involve checking clearance documentation or inspecting the contents of your shipment.
Clearance processing complete: This scan means that your shipment has successfully cleared customs. Once your shipment clears customs, it means all necessary inspections and documentation have been approved, allowing it to move forward.
Delivery has been arranged through a third party service: This means that DHL has handed off your shipment to a local delivery partner to complete the final leg of the journey. This is common in areas where DHL's network is limited and doesn't directly handle last-mile delivery.
